Art and Music Therapy
Mission
I have been facilitating art and music sessions throughout South London for nearly 10 years and it
has been both a privilege and an honour to do so.
The joy, laughter and memories engendered by
these sessions will stay with us all, I am sure, for
the rest of our lives.

The benefits of music and art for the health and well-being are well known: singing releases endorphins, the chemicals which make us feel good. And because of the deep breathing needed to sing, it draws more oxygen into the blood and causes better circulation. Art develops concentration, patience, focus and eye-hand coordination. Both music and art reduce stress too, as well as improving memory, not to mention relationships: music and art are just great activities for bringing people together.
So, if your household like art or singing (and we sing everything from Cliff Richard and Tina Turner to Abba and The Sound of Music!) or art, why not get in touch and give it a try?
the practicalities
Sessions can be either for individuals or for groups.
In either case the rate remains the same: £30/hr.
So, if a house of three want to host a music session
that would cost each housemate £10 each.
Payment is either in cash or bank transfer and can
be either per session or monthly.
Music sessions are led by myself with a guitar.
I provide percussion to encourage involvement. Some songs also include actions. Staff are welcome to join in!
Art sessions are tailored around the client according to ability and preference. I am happy to source and provide materials with costs being reimbursed by the client.
